Traditional games – Lost Treasure

TIME:

Start: Jan 2025 – End: June 2025

AGE/TARGET GROUP:

Primary school students, grades 1-6

ANNOUNCEMENT:

My name is Vladimira Fumić and I’m a primary school teacher from Karlovac, Croatia.

I would like to invite you all to join the project „Traditional games- Lost Treasure“ and show new
generations the joy of playing some forgotten games from the past.

In early childhood, play plays an important role in forming attitudes, adapting to the environment, and
developing social and communication skills. The game develops imagination, creativity and movement
coordination. No activity proposal evokes such enthusiasm in the eyes of children as an invitation to play
and play.

The rapid development of technology has made children’s games almost forgotten, so with this project
we want to revive them so that students can play outdoors with their peers and stay in front of screens as
little as possible. This is a good opportunity for them to learn to follow some rules (norms and principles)
of behavior while playing with each other.

The main purpose of this project, as pointed out, is the benefit for all students by developing their
physical, psycho-motor, emotional, social and mental health while staying in the fresh air in the company
of their peers.

I trully hope you will join our project and guide students at the earliest school age to the tradition and
richness that returning to the original, natural movements, being in nature and socializing.
