Ahokkala school in Kontiolahti studying water and sustainable development

A tree planting campaign was conducted by Dr. Thushari Koralage, Managing Directress /Principal of Asian Grammar School and the country coordinator of ENO Sri Lanka (Environment Online – Finland). This event was hosted to mark the United Nations International Day of Peace in order to promote the planting of trees for an equitable and sustainable world.The YouTube sensation Yohani De Silva graced the occasion as she too planted a tree (Maila-Bauhinia Racemosa) at the Lake Crest Apartment Complex in Mandawilla. Mr. Lalith Gamage Assistant Conservator of Forests and the OIC of Mulleriyawa Police Station Mr. N.I Kaluwitharana too planted trees.At the same time more than 500 students and teachers planted trees in their home gardens.
