HSY provides municipal water supply and waste management services, as well as information on the Helsinki metropolitan area and the environment. HSY is Finland’s largest public operator in the environmental sector and actively make an impact through information and education. In addition to their operations, HSY produces expert information, provides open data and information services, and organise training and seminars. HSY has been awarded nationally for its efforts to bring environmental education into the schools and kindergarten as well as educating its citizens.
