February 22nd-25th ENO Schoolnet Association, together with the Karelia University of Applied Sciences, Nagano Prefectural Government (Japan), the University of Eastern Finland and the North Karelia Vocational Training Center organized an international 4-day conference for students – Zero Carbon Conference for Students. The main conference’s topics were: climate change, the circular economy, microplastics, and forestry. Lithuanian gymnasium was represented by two great students: A.Kuokštytė and U.Jankaukaitė. The girls prepared the presentation by choosing the topic “Circular Economy in Lithuania”, during which they touched not only the topics of circular economy, environmental protection, sustainable development in Lithuania, but also presented the activities, campaigns and projects carried out in our gymnasium.

The conference speakers included students from Spain, Peru, Japan, Kenya and Finland but also by invited experts from Japan, Finland, Greece and Francea. We  say a big thank you to Aida and Ugne and hope that this will not be their last step in contribution to the growth of the circular economy in Lithuania.
