Lasse is principal lecturer in Energy and Environmental Technology at Karelia UAS. His fields of expertise include geography, socio-economic aspects of renewable energy, environmental management, and life cycle analyses. In January 2022, Lasse was nominated as Chairperson of North Karelia Biosphere Reserve under the UNESCO MAB Programme.
