Environmental friendly food: cases of experiental learning - Mrs. Sirpa Kurppa, Prof. emerita in food sustainability
In Elonkierto Exhibition park we started with food education project 15 years ago. Recently, we have gathered experience on environmentally friendly food chains through experiential learning projects with children from kindergarten up to high school and vocational education classes. We start from the food production environment demonstrating the importance of biodiversity and climate change and end to kitchen activities and essential food choices. Nudging is a method we want to develop further in our local food ecosystem. This is what we want to present.
